I am a man
With serious thoughts
Almost on the edge of despair.
I go out searching;
I have to know
That I will not be
One of those men
Who die without love.
Something waits
More distressing than good.
It is not in my sight
Nor in my thoughts
The unscheduled nightmares.
Not willing to be left wanting,
I am ready and willing to learn
The things that matter.
I will make believe
I will make someone love me.
Only the lonely know
What transpires
When no one loves you
And the battle for your thoughts
Goes on and on and on.
Finding refuge in relationships is an important part of life. Everyone has needs-whether to attract and keep a perfect match, the need for a friend or shoulder to lean on or the need to correct a relationship that hasn't met up to expectations.
